Tyler opened Janie’s House to use his celebrity platform to bring awareness to abuse among young women and children. He wanted to help out young women who have been abused and battered by their significant others. He wanted them to have a safe place where they seek protection and care.

“It makes my heart explode,” Tyler said. “Yeah, it feels good to walk out and have people think, there’s Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, it’s beautiful, it does feel good”. Tyler said he wanted to pay forward and help these young women get through their difficult time like how he battled his own addictions.
